BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - -  Senator Aquilino ‘Koko’ Pimentel and the Department of Agriculture (DA) have provided assistance to college and senior high school students and upland farmers in this town.

The assistance from Senator Pimentel was  distributed  through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) where selected college and senior high school students in this town were given educational assistance.

Mayor Tony Bagasao assured other students of the same assistance which will be given soon.

“Those who were not able to get the assistance, do not worry; there will be more for you,” he said.

Bagasao also led the distribution of free high value crop seeds from the  DA through its Experimental Station in Bagabag town.

The high value crop seeds worth P2.3 million were given to the upland farmers of the Federation of Vista Hills-Kalongkong-Kakilingan Upland Farmers, Inc. 

The assistance is part of the DA’s  Upland Vegetables Production Intervention Program to boost agricultural production in upland areas. (BME/PIA NVizcaya)
