4Ps solon groundbreaks P43.8-M road concreting project in Jipapad

BORONGAN CITY (PIA) -- In time with the 59th Founding Anniversary celebration of Jipapad town in Eastern Samar on July 1, House Minority Leader and 4Ps Party-list Representative Marcelino Libanan led the groundbreaking and time capsule-laying for the P43.8-M road concreting projects of the Department of Public Works Works and Highways.

The said road construction project under the implementation of the DPWH Regional Office VIII involves a 225 meters road concreting that will start from the Sitio Casapa, Brgy. 4 to Brgy. San Roque, and will end at Brgy. Cagmanaba.

The project is under SIPAG (Sustainable Infra Project Alleviating Gaps) and is included in the FY 2023 GAA with a total project fund of P43,821,000.

“The implementation of this project will promote connectivity, and provide easy access and safe road network for the entire community and neighboring towns. This project will soon enhance the quality of life for residents, attract visitors from near and far, and elevate our community to new heights,” DPWH Regional Director Edgar B. Tabacon said in his message delivered by his representative during the groundbreaking activity.

Representative Libanan expressed his support for the said project of the DPWH, citing it as a testament to the government’s effort and commitment to bring opportunities closer to the people and ensure that far-flung areas will never be left behind towards social development.

Libanan also appealed to the residents and soldiers (52IB) in the town of Jipapad to give their full support to the government projects as a P100-M Jipapad-Las Navas Road Project is anticipated to be implemented next year. The representative hoped that the project can boost the province’s tourism and agriculture sectors.
