TESDA-Abra partners with CTECs, PESOs partnership for grassroots service

BANGUED, Abra (PIA) --With goal  to empower Community Training and Employment Coordinators (CTECs) and Public Employment Service Officers as employment partners in their respective communities, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-Abra organized a provincial meeting to discuss areas of cooperation.

TESDA-Abra Provincial Director Jimicio Daoaten said that the meeting’s objective is to enhance their partnerships to have a more vibrant implementation of the Community Based Training Program.

The meeting held at ADTEMPCO Office here was supported  by the provincial government of Abra and the Department of Labor and Employment.

“Gusto naming iparating sa mga partners namin, ang mga CTEC and PESO ng LGU,  ang mga programa ng TESDA na i-avail ng mga Abreños lalo na sa mga malalayong lugar para malaman nila kung paano nila ma-avail ang mga training programs na ito,” Daoaten said in an interview.

He said that this will boost the employment opportunities of the Abrenians not only locally but also abroad.

Daoaten  is seeking  the assistance of TESDA’s partners in implementing more skills trainings across the province.

“Kailangan po naming ang tulong ng mga LGUs, non-government organizations, private institutions and state universities to encourage and promote these programs to the Abrenians,” he stressed.

He invites all interested Abrenians to enroll and avail the scholarship programs of TESDA

“Bukas ang aming tanggapan and mga registered schools to accommodate ang sino mang gustong magsanay at alam naman po natin na  pag TESDA program, libre po, walang babayaran,”he said.

Among  the most availed courses offed by TESDA in the province are Automotive Servicing, Carpentry, Driving, Electrical Installation and Maintenance and Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing.(JDP/CAGT- PIA CAR, Abra)
