NHCP to unveil “Kawit” historical marker

KAWIT, Cavite (PIA) ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) together with the Kawit local government will unveil on Friday, June 23, a historical marker at the Dambanang Emilio Aguinaldo in commemoration of the Philippine Revolutionary Government’s 125th anniversary.

NHCP Chairman Emmanuel Franco Calairo will lead the unveiling of the “Kawit” historical marker, in a ceremony to be held at 6:00 p.m.

Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin is expected to grace the event and deliver a keynote speech as the guest of honor and speaker.

NHCP said it will also host a ceremonial toast to honor the founding of the revolutionary government and recognize the following government agencies:

  • Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA),
  • Department of Finance (DOF),
  • Department of Justice (DOJ),
  • Department of Agriculture (DA),
  • Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH),
  • Department of Education (DepEd),
  • Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE),
  • Department of National Defense (DND),
  • Department of Health (DOH),
  • Department of Trade and Industry (DTI),
  • Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Transportation (DOTr),
  • Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT),
  • Department of Budget and Management (DBM)
  • Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures. (PIA-Cavite/NHCP)
