No examinee left behind: CSC sets up 95 testing centers for Civil Service Test

QUEZON CITY (PIA) — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) will conduct the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) nationwide on Aug. 10, 2025, with a one-month application period from May 13 to June 11, 2025.

To accommodate examinees across the country, including those in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs), the exam will be administered in 95 testing centers nationwide. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The CSC emphasized its commitment to fostering equal access to examination opportunities, particularly for individuals in GIDAs who often face challenges such as limited internet connectivity.

“Recognizing the persistent challenges such as limited internet connectivity in remote or underserved areas, the CSC continues to implement responsive and equitable measures to address these gaps,” a CSC representative said.

The early release of Examination Announcement No. 5, series of 2025, on April 24, 2025, was cited as one such effort.

The CSC has also instructed its Regional and Field Offices to intensify localized information campaigns through radio, posters, community bulletin boards, and partnerships with local government units to ensure application details reach even the most remote communities.

While some regions will implement online filing through the CSC’s eSERVE Examination Module, the commission assured that walk-in and in-person filing options will remain available, especially in areas with limited internet access.

“The CSC ensures that Field Offices remain accessible to applicants with limited or no internet access. These offices are encouraged to provide walk-in or scheduled in-person filing assistance, subject to their operational capacity,” the CSC representative added.

Regarding policy updates, the CSC confirmed the rollout of online application filing in select Regional and Field Offices as part of its digital transformation initiative.

“This move is part of the CSC’s ongoing digital transformation efforts to improve accessibility, streamline processes, and enhance service delivery,” the representative noted.

Applicants are strongly advised to coordinate directly with the CSC Regional or Field Office where they plan to file their application for specific procedures and requirements.

The CSC reiterated that it does not conduct or endorse any review classes or materials for the exam. A complete list of qualifications and application requirements for the August examination can be found on the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph. (AVS/PIA-NCR)
