Nueva Vizcaya draws over 400K day tourists in 1st semester

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – The different tourism destinations of the province of Nueva Vizcaya drew almost half a million tourist arrivals from January to June this year, the Provincial Tourism Office reported.

Marichelle Costales, provincial tourism officer, said the figure was based on the visitor statistics reports submitted by the municipal tourism offices and tourist site managers for the first semester of the year. 

She said the top ten most visited attractions in the province are the Malico/Salacsac Pass in Santa Fe town, the Sky Escape 360  in Ambaguio town,  the Tam-An BMPC Mt. Resort  in Bayombong, the Love Camp in Ambaguio town, the Lower Magat Eco-tourism Park in Diadi town, the Sherman tank – Malico in  Santa Fe town, the Kiyang Di Duntog Agro Tourism Park in Santa Fe town, the Sabo Dam in Santa Fe town,  the Mapalyao Falls in Quezon town, and the  Corpuz Resort in Villaverde town.

“We expect more day tourists to visit our province in the next semester. We are grateful for the support and cooperation of our tourism stakeholders in the province,” Costales said.

She also said the provincial government is embarking on developing further the natural spots of the province that will surely attract more tourists to visit the province. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
