Nueva Vizcaya LGU distributes P50M PBBM aid for El Niño-hit farmers

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – The Provincial Local Government Unit of Nueva Vizcaya has started distributing the financial assistance provided by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for El Niño-affected farmers in the province.

The P50 million in financial assistance was turned over to Nueva Vizcaya Governor Jose Gambito during the recent visit by President Marcos Jr. to Ilagan City in Isabela.

Governor Gambito said P10,000 is given to each farmer-beneficiary based on the list prepared by the Municipal Agriculture Offices of the 15 towns in Nueva Vizcaya.

“We are thankful to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for this assistance. This will surely enable our farmers to recover from the devastation caused by the prolonged drought,” he said.

He added that the financial assistance given by President Marcos Jr. will benefit 5,000 farmers and their families in the 15 municipalities of the province.

The distribution was initially launched in Diadi, Bagabag, and Kasibu towns, benefiting at least 1,632 El Nino-affected farmers. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
