Nueva Vizcaya officials laud PBBM’s serbisyo caravan

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – The provincial officials of Nueva Vizcaya  have praised the recent Serbisyo Caravan initiated by the office of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

Representative Luisa Cuaresma highlighted the caravan’s significant impact on the lives of Novo Vizcayanos.

 “We are grateful and elated with the Serbisyo Caravan of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. It truly served many of our constituents through various government services and programs that they rightfully deserve,” she said.

Governor Jose Gambito also commended the event, noting that it brought essential programs and services from national government agencies and the provincial local government unit (PLGU) closer to the public. This, he said, particularly benefited the less fortunate. 

“This Serbisyo Caravan has once again proven to be a substantial source of help and hope for our less fortunate residents. We are deeply thankful for the invaluable support and services provided by President Marcos to our community,” Gambito remarked.

He added that the President’s initiative exemplifies his unwavering dedication to serving the Filipino people and underscores the collective commitment to fostering inclusive growth and development. The nationwide Serbisyo Caravan aims to bring government programs and services closer to the people.

During the caravan, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) distributed P5,000 each to 1,000 beneficiaries of their Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program in Bambang and Bayombong. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) provided wages totaling P2.2 million to 450 beneficiaries of their Special Program for Employment of Students in the province.

Additionally, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender organization of Dupax del Norte received P1.3 million, while P1.05 million worth of assistance was given to 35 parents or guardians of child laborers in Ambaguio town.

 The DOLE also conducted payouts for 293 beneficiaries of their Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers program, amounting to P1.3 million, with a similar amount allocated to 293 more recipients in Diadi town.

A TUPAD profiling for 400 villagers in Bayombong was conducted, accompanied by a One-Stop Shop Job Fair at the LGU, which featured 20 participating employers while the Department of Agriculture distributed onion seeds and seeders worth P20.3 million to farmers in Bambang, Aritao, Dupax del Sur, Bagabag, Alfonso Castaneda, Quezon, and Kayapa towns.

The Department of Trade and Industry supported the KADIWA ng Pangulo Program and provided assistance through the Consumer Help Desk, Consumer Advocacy, and Financing Program, among others. The Department of Health also distributed health kits and assistive devices to beneficiaries identified by the Provincial Disability Affairs Office.

The Serbisyo Caravan also featured participation from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises through the KADIWA ng Pangulo sa Kapitolyo. (OTB/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
