BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – –  Government agencies here have forged an agreement to prevent Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) recruitment in various schools in the province.

Carla Dacanay, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Local Government Operations Officer said a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by the Department of Education (DepEd), Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Army (PA) early this year to thwart CTG recruitment within the coverage of the DepEd Schools Division Office (SDO).

She said the MOA signing and its implementation is one of the campaigns initiated by government agencies under the End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC).

“With this agreement, there will be close monitoring and vigilance on the activities within our schools in the province to prevent the entry of recruiters from the CTG,” Dacanay said.

She made the report during the first quarter joint meeting of the ELCAC, Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC). (MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
