NVAT sends agri-aid to typhoon-affected towns in Batangas

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – The Nueva Vizcaya Agricultural Terminal (NVAT) has sent agricultural products to the typhoon-affected towns in Batangas.

Gilbert Cumila, NVAT General Manager said the relief operation is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to help villagers affected by the recent typhoon ‘Kristine’.

He said the relief operations rolled out through the assistance of the Department of Agriculture for the towns of Talisay, Laurel, and Agoncillo in the province of Batangas.

Cumila said the relief assistance given included fruits and vegetables such as  3,140 kilos of squash,  950 kilos of  Sayote, 747 kilos of Camote, 683 kilos of eggplant,  1,516 kilos of Cucumber, 453 kilos of  Banana, 17 kilos of  Lemon, 97 kilos of Pomelo, 24 kilos of Papaya and  93 kilos of Carrots or a total of  7,000 kilos of agricultural products.
