OFW AKSYON Center symbolizes Bagong Pilipinas

MANILA — The establishment of a One-Stop Overseas Filipino Workers Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo para sa mga OFW na Nangangailangan (AKSYON) Center and its supporting tools are emblems of the administration’s vision for a Bagong Pilipinas.

This was how President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. described the new facility as he led its inauguration in Makati City on Tuesday.

The OFW AKSYON Center is the 23rd facility nationwide and the fifth in the National Capital Region. The facility will accommodate OFWs in southern Metro Manila and provide them the necessary documents and assistance for employment abroad.

The facility also complements the government’s eGov PH App launched in June 2023.

The President assured migrant workers the government will continue advocating for their welfare.

The AKSYON Center building will also serve as an annex of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), where some of its offices will be transferred from its current headquarters at the Blas F. Ople Building in Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City. (PND)
