QUEZON CITY (PIA) – The Pag-IBIG Fund launched on Thursday a raffle promo where participants may win up to P500,000 to encourage OFWs and informal sector workers to become members of the Fund.
Examples of informal sector workers according to Pag-IBIG are online sellers, public utility vehicle drivers, motorcycle riders, self-employed or individuals who are not employed under a company.
The One Plus One (OPO) raffle promo aims to promote the benefits of being a member of the Fund and eventually encourage more to people to register.
To join, an existing member who has saved in their Pag-IBIG Regular Savings within the last three months—needs to register as a “Pagibigfluencer.” They can invite at least one OFW or informal sector worker to become a new member, or to reactivate one’s Pag-IBIG membership–referred to as the “Plus 1.” Both the PagIBIGfluencer and the Plus 1 gain eligibility for the agency’s savings and housing loan programs, with each participant having a chance to win up to P500,000 in the Grand Draw.
Pagibigfluencers can gain one raffle ticket with each referred plus ones. For the “Plus 1,” they can gain a raffle ticket with every monthly contribution of P200.
The raffle will run from December 2024 to November 2025. The grand draw will be in December 2025.
