OrMin LGU distributes food packs to affected families in Baco

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – A total of 1,164 food packs were distributed by the provincial government to affected families who experienced flash flooding in their areas due to non-stop rains on the weekends of December 2022 in the town of Baco.

On January 1, 2023, personnel from the provincial government led by Provincial Administrator Hubbert Christopher A. Dolor, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Vinscent Gahol and Provincial Social Welfare Officer Zarah C. Magboo, together with Baco Municipal Mayor Allan Roldan, initiated the immediate distribution of food packs to residents of Brgy. Alag and Brgy. Sta. Rosa.

Dolor said that apart from the food received by the beneficiaries, it is still more important that the people feel cared for through the concerns of the leaders of the government.  He emphasized that food distribution is a vital task especially when an anticipated event occurred.

Around 424 food packs were distributed in Brgy. Alag and 740 in Brgy. Sta. Rosa.  (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
