QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. recognized outstanding soldiers for their courage and dedication as part of the 2024 Metrobank Foundation for Outstanding Filipinos Award for Soldiers (MFOFAS).
AFP Deputy Chief of Staff LtGen Charlton Sean M. Gaerlan lauded Captain Salvador M Sambalilo PN (GSC), Assistant Chief of Fleet Staff for Weapons, Communications, Electronics, and Information, F6; Major Ron Jr T Villarosa (INF) PA, Chief of Civil Affairs Center, Civil-Military Operations Regiment; and SSg Michael S. Rayanon PN(M), Public Affairs Non-Commissioned Officer of Marine Battalion Landing Team 3 for their well-deserved achievements.
Likewise, Gaerlan reaffirmed AFP’s continued support for their professional development and commitment to honoring Filipino excellence and inspiring future generations.

For decades, the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos program has highlighted exemplary teachers, soldiers, and police officers as models of excellence who can help instill patriotism, integrity, courage, and social responsibility in the minds of every Filipino.
