CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA) — More than 12,000 Pag-IBIG Fund members in Central Visayas benefited from the various housing loan programs offered by the public financing institution.
During the 24th episode of ‘Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas’ in Central Visayas program, Pag-IBIG Fund vice president for Member Services Operation in VisMin, Rio R. Teves, reported that a total of 11,981 active Pag-IBIG members were able to buy their new homes through Pag-IBIG housing loan financing from July 2022 to September 2024.
A total of 790 members also benefited from the Pag-IBIG’s socialized housing loan program in the same period.
“Here in Central Visayas, we were able to approve a total of P18.4 billion in loans for our members who availed of end-user home financing. In addition, we also approved P 330.3 million for our socialized housing loans,” said Teves.
A total of 216,473 members nationwide availed of the end-user home financing program, while 26,764 members also benefited from the socialized housing loan program.
Records show that the Pag-IBIG Fund has approved P280 billion for the end-user home financing loans and P12 billion for socialized housing loans since Pres. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assumed office in 2022.
“We would like to invite all Filipino workers to register as members of Pag-IBIG Fund. When you are already a member, please maximize your membership by availing and applying for our programs and services.” added Teves.
Pag-IBIG Fund members can avail of the housing loan programs, where they can borrow up to P6 million with a maximum of 30 years of payment period.
The end-user housing loan has an interest rate of 5.75 percent to 6.25 percent with one year and three years fixing period.
Pag-IBIG members earning at least P12,000 gross monthly income can also avail of the socialized housing loan with a maximum loanable amount of P580,000 for socialized subdivision projects and P650,000 for socialized condominiums, with an interest rate of 3 percent per annum.
Pag-IBIG Fund was the featured agency for the 24th episode of the ‘Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas’ program, a platform initiated by the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) through the Philippine Information Agency (PIA).
