MANILA, (PIA) — More than 13,000 job vacancies are available at the upcoming “PROJECT DAPAT: Jobs Fair,” aimed at assisting displaced Internet Gaming Licensees (IGL) workers, formerly known as Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO). This event is scheduled for October 10, 2024, in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The jobs fair will take place at the Ground Floor Activity Area of Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City and simultaneously at the Ayala Malls Circuit Activity Center in Makati City.
As of now, there are 7,697 job openings from 50 local employers in Parañaque, coordinated with the Department of Labor and Employment-NCR MUNTAPARLAS Field Office.
In Makati, 5,582 vacancies from 44 local employers and four overseas employers are available, in collaboration with the DOLE-NCR Makati-Pasay Field Office.
Both events are organized in partnership with the city governments of Parañaque and Makati, along with their respective Public Employment Service Offices (PESO).
The majority of job openings include positions for customer service representatives, housekeepers, sales and marketing staff, brand ambassadors, kitchen crews, data encoders, and technicians.
Employers will primarily come from the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Information Technology (IT), hospitality, and retail sectors.

To facilitate the job application process, DOLE-NCR will provide one-stop-shop services at both venues, featuring agencies like the Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will also participate in the Makati location.
DOLE-NCR will set up a helpdesk for any labor and employment inquiries, ensuring that jobseekers have access to essential support.
Applicants are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and other pre-employment documents. To expedite the application process, pre-registration is recommended via the following links:
This jobs fair comes in the wake of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s announcement in July to ban all IGLs in the country. In response, the Department of Labor and Employment developed “Project DAPAT” to assist displaced workers in finding new employment opportunities.
As of September 27, 2024, DOLE-NCR has profiled 19,754 affected workers from 68 establishments in NCR, all of whom have been invited to participate in the fair. More job vacancies will be announced in the coming days. For updates, visit ncr.dole.gov.ph or DOLE-NCR’s official Facebook page. (AVS/PIA-NCR)
