VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) – A total of 2,566 individuals were able to avail themselves of the services of Professional Regulation Commission Region V (PRC V) during its three-day mobile services sponsored by the Catanduanes Congressional District Office headed by Cong. Eulogio Rodriguez conducted from July 18 to 20, 2023 at Catanduanes State University (CatSU) Auditorium.
According to Cong. Rodriguez, the activity aims to bring the services of PRC closer to the people of Catanduanes and help them ease financial burdens that will be incurred traveling to mainland Bicol to avail such services.
He also disclosed that the Catanduanes Peoples’ Center will soon be implemented which will put essential government agencies in one building so that Catandunganons no longer need to travel out of the province to process papers and documents.
The solon also thanked CatSU President Dr. Patrick Alain T. Azanza for allowing the PRC team to utilize CatSU auditorium.
On the other hand, CatSU President Azanza expressed gratitude to Cong. Rodriguez for his initiative of providing accessible service to our fellow Catandunganons. He emphasized that CatSU is always willing to support projects that directly benefits the people of Catanduanes.
Among these services offered, the highest number of recorded transactions within three days of the said activity, is the authentication of certificates, with a total of 1,014.
Followed by certification with a total of 911 recorded transactions, while 247 newly registered Catandunganon professionals applied for the initial registration.
Meanwhile, a total of 204 transactions were recorded in the renewal of professional identification cards; 148 aspiring professionals filed their applications; and 42 applied for changes of entries and status. (EAB-PIA5/Catanduanes)
