ILIGAN CITY (PIA)–A total of 3,000 local and overseas jobs are being offered by 32 local and international agencies in the two-day job fair held at Gaisano Citi Super Mall, July 27–28.
The City Government of Iligan, through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO), partnered with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 to conduct the Job Fair.
The job fair is in line with the 46th anniversary celebration of Gaisano Citi Super Mall.
Jone Jingco Peligro, the head of Marketing at Gaisano, said it was a long-planned partnership with DOLE and PESO.
“Gaisano is actually growing, and this is not only for getting sales or establishing business but also giving out opportunities for job seekers,” Peligro said.
The top available positions are product consultant, pharmacy aide, restaurant worker, call center agent, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and many more.
There are 23 local establishments and 8 overseas agencies offering vacant positions. Some of these companies are the Alrose Group of Companies, E and R Hospital and Pharmacy, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, STRYM Global Services, Rural Transit Mindanao, Staffhouse International Resources, Triple E Manpower, and General Services Inc.
Job seekers are thankful for the opportunity. One of them is Romeo Laspiñas, Jr., who applied for the sales consultant position and was hired on the spot.

Meanwhile, PESO remains committed to providing job opportunities to the Iliganons and nearby towns.

Nangusog gyod mi karon para to facilitate employment nga mga opportunities nga mga event like job fairs and the special and local recruitment activities,” said Katherine Xyra Quitos-Angara, officer in charge of PESO.

Job seekers need to bring three copies of their resume, a ballpoint pen, credentials, a certificate or national certificate, and a diploma. Overseas applicants are required to bring two photocopies of their passport.
Moreover, DOLE has programs for job seekers such as the Government Internship Program, the Special Program for Employment Program, and Tulong Para sa Displaced Workers. They can apply by visiting the DOLE office. (CEC/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
