OWWA-CAR opens field office in Ifugao’s capital town

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) — The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration- Cordillera Administrative Region (OWWA-CAR) has established its field office in the capitol town of the province  to make  its services  more accessible to the public.

The office is located at the Tayaban’s Commercial Building on Rizal Street, Barangay Banao, Poblacion East.

OWWA-CAR Regional Director Martel Dasayon stated that this is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the OWWA to serve the needs of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families in the province.

“President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. has recognized  that OFWs are the modern-day heroes , and under his administration, their welfare is a top priority ensuring  that they received the support and protection they deserved” Dasayon stated.

He also lauded the various local government units, line agencies and other stakeholders who remain supportive to OWWA’s programs and services promoting the general welfare of OFWs and their families.

Ifugao OFW Organization Federation president Angie Guinid said that the new location is more convenient to everybody. They are happy and appreciate OWWA-Ifugao’s continued dedication to serving them.

Jovalyn Calingayan, a member of United Cudog Migrant Organization, expressed that with the new site of the office, OFWs will be able to access easily  the services they need.  (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
