P29 per kilo rice available at ‘Kadiwa sa NIA’ in Catarman

CATARMAN, Northern Samar (PIA) — The National Irrigation Administration in Northern Samar will conduct on Thursday, August 15,  Kadiwa sa NIA which will sell rice at P29 per kilo to priority buyers at the NIA grounds, capitol compound in Catarman starting at 8 a.m.

According to NIA Division Manager Georden Lemsic, the rice that will be sold at P29 per kilo are contributions from irrigators association in the province.

A maximum of 3 kilos will be sold to each priority buyer on a first come, first serve basis.

Given priority are tricycle/pedicab drivers, solo parents, and senior citizens who were advised to bring with them identification card.

Available also to all at the Kadiwa sa NIA are farm products such as vegetables, fish, local delicacies, and other native products at lower and affordable prices.

Jeff Marino, the designate information officer, informed that the activity is an initiative of the Irrigators Association of Northern Samar who wanted to share their farm products as a form of gratitude for all the blessings they received. (ADiaz, PIA Northern Samar)
