SYUDAD SANG ILOILO (PIA) – Ginlunsar sang Iloilo provincial government ang P5-million two-storey Family and Youth Development Center (FYDC) nga proyekto sa banwa sang Igbaras pinaagi sa isa ka groundbreaking ceremony nga ginhiwat subong nga Enero.
Sa tion nga matapos, ang proyekto nga ginapangunahan sang Iloilo Provincial Population Office (IPPO) magaserbe nga hub para sa pre-marriage orientation and counselling (PMOC) sessions, youth-related programs kag iban pa nga population and development activities.
Ang amo nga pasilidad magabutang man sang mga opisina sang local Population Program Officers (PPOs), Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs), Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), kag Local Youth Development Council Office (LYDCO).
Ginpangunahan ni Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. ang programa kun sa diin ginhatagan sini sang importansya ang dako nga papel sang mga pamilya kag mga pamatan-on sa pagtukod sang progresibo nga pungsod.
“There’s nothing more important than our family and children. If we want to build a nation, we have to start with them. The strength of the Filipino comes from our family. We are resilient because of our family, and we want to start building a nation from the family and our youth,” pahayag ni Defensor.
Ginpahayag naman ni IPPO Chief Atty. Ruel Von Superio nga ang FYDC isa ka makabag-o nga pamaagi para sa pagpatuman sang Responsible Parenthood and the Adolescent Health and Youth Development Programs (RPAHYDP) sang probinsya.
“We aim to strengthen our network and intensify our collaborative efforts in addressing identified gaps and promoting the development, welfare and empowerment of the families and youth, not only of the municipality but of the entire Province of Iloilo,” dugang pa ni Superio.
Isa lamang ang Igbaras sa walo ka pilot areas nga napilian para sa konstruksyon sang FYDC sa probinsya. Ang iban pa nga local government units nga gintumod para sa proyekto amo ang New Lucena, Santa Barbara, Calinog, Lambunao, Passi City, San Dionisio, kag Sara. (AAL/JNH/PIA Iloilo)
