Pag-IBIG calamity assistance now available in Mindanao, Visayas areas

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — In response to the earthquakes in Mindanao and floods in Eastern Visayas, Pag-IBIG Fund has allocated resources to support affected members through its Calamity Loan Program.

Pag-IBIG announced it is coordinating closely with local authorities in declared calamity areas including Sarangani, Davao, General Santos City, Eastern and Northern Samar.

The fund aims to facilitate aid in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to mobilize assistance for impacted communities.

Eligible members in affected regions can borrow up to 80 percent of their Pag-IBIG savings at just 5.95 percent interest with flexible terms to help rebuild and recover. Qualified borrowers have 90 days from the announcement of a state of calamity to apply.

Virtual services remain accessible to members with internet access.

Pag-IBIG also plans to deploy mobile units alongside local government desks for in-person loan and claims applications.

We understand our members urgently require help to reconstruct their lives. Our branches in calamity zones continue serving despite also being impacted. We assure members that Pag-IBIG is ready to assist,” said CEO Marilene Acosta. (PIA-NCR)
