Pagadianons grateful for free medical services of Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinic

PAGADIAN CITY (PIA) – Residents of Pagadian City were filled with gratitude after receiving free medical services through the Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinic, an initiative of President Ferdinand “Bong Bong” R. Marcos Jr., in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH) and the provincial government of Zamboanga del Sur.

The program hoped to bring essential healthcare services closer to communities at no cost.

Many residents benefited from free medical check-ups, laboratory tests such as urinalysis, x-rays, and ultrasound, as well as free medicines and consultations with doctors.

According to Asteria Romarate, the program has greatly helped them during the recent medical outreach in Barangay San Jose.

“Nagpasalamat ko sa Ginoo kay nakatabang sila kanamong mga katawhan diri sa San Jose. Gitagaan mi nila ug libreng mga tambal, libre nga checkup. Salamat sa ilaha ug salamat pud sa Ginoo,” she said.

(I thank God because they have helped us, the people here in San Jose. They provided us with free medicines and check-ups. Thanks to them and thanks be to God.)

Meanwhile, Jocelyn Patalinghug shared how she discovered her lung condition through the free mobile x-ray service.

“Maayo gyud kay sa wala pa nang mobile x-ray nga libre, wala ko kahibalo nga naa diay diperensya akong baga. Pasalamat ko nga giadto gyud ko nila sa balay, ila kong gifollow-up,” she shared.

(It’s good because before this free mobile x-ray, I didn’t know that I had a lung problem. I am grateful that they even visited me at home for a follow-up.)

The medical outreach conducted in various barangays of Pagdian City also include flu vaccinations.

The Zamboanga del Sur Medical Team began their visits on January 6 in Barangay Santiago and will continue reaching out to other barangays in Pagadian City. Through the mobile clinic, more residents will have the opportunity to consult doctors and receive necessary medications and tests.

For Marcelino Dinglasa Jr., barangay chairperson of San Jose, this program is a great blessing to their community.

“Dako kaayo nakong pasalamat kay kini dako kaayong tabang sa katawhan sa San Jose. First time in the history ni nga naay medical outreach diri sa barangay San Jose nga gipahigayon kay tungod ang mga katawhan sa barangay San Jose nadasig,” said Dinglasa.

(I am very grateful because this is a huge help for the people of San Jose. This is the first time in history that a medical outreach has been conducted in Barangay San Jose, which has encouraged our people.)

With this ongoing initiative, more residents in Pagadian City will benefit from free medical services. This proves that under Bagong Pilipinas, quality and accessible healthcare is not just a dream but a reality enjoyed by every citizen. (EDT/HTB/PIA9 Zamboanga del Sur)
