Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families will enjoy a night filled with fun and entertainment in the “Konsyerto sa Palasyo” on Sunday evening, 27 April 2025, at the Kalayaan Grounds in honor of their sacrifices and invaluable contribution to the economic and social transformation of the Bagong Pilipinas.
Initiated by the Office of the President together with Radio TV Malacañang (RTVM) in coordination with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will feature the inspiring stories of triumph and trials of OFWs and their excellence on the global stage that fosters pride for the Filipino nation.
The event also aims to highlight world-class talents of Filipino artists in dedication to the OFWs and their families.
Among the renowned Filipino artists to perform in the concert are Chito Ricafrente, known as “The Original Human Saxophone of the Philippines”, World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) Gold Medalist Rap Cañedo, Pop Pristine Marielle Montellano known for her captivating voice and heartfelt performances, Multi-awarded artist and former member of premiere vocal group “The Company” Reuben Laurente, and Winchester Lopez, an internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer with a career spanning performance in Miss Saigon productions and global tours.
Primedance Manila, a renowned Filipino dance group will also deliver their electrifying dance number for the OFWs and their families, shoring the vibrancy and artistry of Filipino dancers.
Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac said the celebration is more than just a concert but a tribute to the sacrifices, resilience, and perseverance of OFWs, the modern-heroes of our society who demonstrate Filipino nation’s excellence while withstanding the hardships of overseas employment for the betterment of the lives of their families back home.
“Our OFWs, ang ating mga Bagong Bayani sa Bagong Pilipinas kasama ng kanilang mga pamilya ang lakas ng ating bayan. Si Pangulong Marcos Jr. mismo ang palaging nagpapaalala sa amin sa DMW na kayo ay alagaan kaya’t hindi tayo mapapagod na maghatid ng serbisyo at programa para sa kapakanan ng ating mga Bagong Bayani,” Secretary Cacdac said.
The Konsyerto sa Palasyo for OFWs and their families is the 6th installment of the concert series that underscores the government’s commitment to nurturing the Philippine arts sector while honoring the various sectors of Philippine society, including soldiers, teachers, healthcare workers, athletes, whose unwavering dedication and excellence embody the true essence of nation-building.###
