DAVAO DE ORO (PIA) — Government authorities continue its drive against illegal drugs in Davao de Oro.
Recently, law enforcers dismantled a drug den in Pantukan, Davao de Oro, and arrested its maintainer and four other individuals.
According to the report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), operatives from different agencies conducted a buy bust operations on the early morning of October 25 and nabbed a drug den maintainer identified as a certain Tristan Howell Banta, 45 years old, at Purok Mahayahay, Barangay Kingking, Panukan town.
Banta was apprehended while selling to an agent one sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu weighing around one gram with an estimated street value of P12,000.
Authorities also nabbed Banta’s cohort in the illegal drug activities identified as a certain Noramae Traya, and three drug den visitors, namely Randy Aradidon, Ronald Catipay, and Jenezeal Davis.
Aside from the marked drugs, operatives also seized six sachets of suspected Shabu in different sizes weighing around 25 grams with estimated value of P170,000, four empty sachets with suspected shabu residue, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust marked money.
Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects.
