PASAY CITY — The Department of Health (DOH) has recognized Pasay City as one of the national awardees of the Kampyon ng Kalusugan sa mga Komunidad (KKK) Award for its outstanding community-driven health programs. The award was conferred on February 10, in acknowledgment of the city’s commitment to prioritizing residents’ well-being.
The KKK Award honors local government units (LGUs) that excel in health promotion policies and programs, guided by a policy framework developed by the DOH and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). This initiative provides LGUs with strategies to create healthier communities through sustainable action plans.

Pasay City officials received the award from outgoing Metro Manila Center for Health Development (MMCHD) Regional Director Rio L. Magpantay, incoming MMCHD Regional Director Lester M. Tan, and representatives from the DOH Health Promotion Bureau. The recognition highlights Pasay’s commitment to proactive health governance.
Director Magpantay commended the city’s leadership for setting a strong example in promoting public health, emphasizing the role of champion leaders in fostering healthier and more resilient communities. Meanwhile, Pasay officials expressed gratitude to the city’s health workers, local government leaders, and residents, attributing the achievement to their collective efforts.
