PASIG CITY, (PIA) — Good news! Pasig City opened its newest attraction in town.
The city government recently opened a linear park and its first-ever skate park along East Bank Road, Manggahan Floodway, in Barangay Sta. Lucia.
The linear park project led by the Metropolitan Manila Development (MMDA) aims to provide recreational and skating spaces for Pasigueños.
MMDA Chair Atty. Don Artes, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Congressman Roman Romulo, Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski, and other officials led the inauguration of the park.

The linear and skating park features murals and paintings, gazebos that can be used as leisure or picnic areas, and urban landscaping.
Mayor Vico expressed his gratitude to MMDA, Department of Public Works and Highways, and others for making this project a reality.
Likewise, Vice Mayor Dodot expressed his dream to boost skating and skateboarding as a sport in the city.
Mr. Maylan from the Skater Community thanked both the national and local government for providing skaters a proper skate park.
Also, Reynante Palmaria of the Palengke Mega Parking East Bank Road Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (PPMPEBRTODA) expressed gratitude to the government for renovating the old terminal.

The skate park is open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Skaters and visitors are encouraged to follow park rules.
The linear park covers a total area of 3,317 square meters and features amenities such as a mini-pavilion, a covered tricycle terminal, a fenced skate park, public comfort rooms, and an umbrella shed with seating benches, among others. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
