Pasigueña to compete in 2024 Paralympics in Paris

PASIG CITY, (PIA) — Good news! Para-athlete, Cendy Asusano, will vie against other para-athletes from across the globe in the prestigious 2024 Paralympics.

Cendy, who hails from Pasig City, booked her own 2024 Paris Paralympic Games ticket and will look to continue her momentum coming off a 4th place finish in Women’s Javelin Throw F54 of World Para Athletics Championships last May held in Kobe, Japan.

According to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Cendy was among the bemedaled para-athlete in the 12th ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia with golds in Shot Put F54 and Javelin Throw F54, and a bronze medal from Discus Throw F54.

On his Facebook page, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto called on Pasigueños and Filipinos to support our Paralympians.

She will be joined by other Filipino para-athletes including Jerrold Mangliwan for the track and field, swimmers Ernie Gawilan and Angel Mae Otom, taekwondo jin Allain Ganapin, and archer Agustina Bantiloc.

Earlier, PSC Chairperson Richard Bachman called on Filipinos to support our Paralympians.
