Pasigueño kids receive early Christmas gifts in ‘Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya’ program

PASIG CITY, (PIA) — Christmas came early for kids of Pasig City as they enjoyed the Christmas gifts and school supplies in the ‘Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya’ project held at the Rizal High School on Sunday.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto led the distribution of Christmas gifts from President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to 1,500 kid beneficiaries of the city.

Mayor Vico expressed his gratitude to the President and the people who made gift-giving possible and more enjoyable to the children from the different sectors of the city.

“Kami pong mga Pasigueño ay taus-pusong nagpapasalamat kay President BBM… Sigurado pong magiging masayang-masaya ang mga kabataan natin dito sa Pasig at pati na rin mga magulang nila.”

[We express our heartfelt thanks to President BBM (Bongbong Marcos). We are sure that the kids and their parents will be very happy.]

One of the parents of the kid beneficiaries, Ms. Fatima Benito, a representative from the Muslim women sector, thanked President Marcos, Jr.

“Maraming salamat po sa ganitong event para po sa mga bata, na enjoy po nila yung kanilang kabataan.”

[Thank you for this event where children can enjoy their youth.]

Fatima also thanked Mayor Vico for ensuring that Muslim communities are always included in the programs and projects of the city.

The ‘Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya’ program is a Nationwide Gift-Giving project of the Office of the President. For this year, over 30,000 children nationwide received their early Christmas gifts. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
