BANGUED, Abra (PIA) – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) – Bangued Revenue District Office (RDO) reminded the public, especially business owners to pay their taxes on time to avoid penalties.
BIR-Bangued RDO head Eden Serafica and tax information officer Felix Micua shared the schedules and the 2025 tax deadlines during the first Monday flag raising ceremony at the Provincial Capitol on January 6.
“Ti tax deadline reminder nangruna unay ti January 25, aldaw ti Sabado, isu ti deadline ti panagipila ti BIR Form 2551Q, diayay Quarterly Percentage Tax, ken diayay 2550Q wenno Quartely Value-Added Tax Return,” Micua stressed.
Meanwhile, January 30 is the deadline for the submission of Inventory List for 2024 and Jan. 31 is the filing of BIR Form 1604-C and Form 2316 for 2024.
Micua added that individuals can already file their Annual Income Tax Return for 2024.
Aside from tax deadline reminders, the BIR-Bangued RDO also informed the public of easier and more convenient application and registration of the Taxpayer Identification Number or TIN through the digitalization program of the government.
“Dagidiay awan ti TIN na, at the comfort of your home and at the comfort of your own time, mabalinyo ti ag-apply ti TIN. No need nga umay kayo diay opisina mi nga maki-pila, mabalin nga ag-apply kayo online through the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS),” Micua explained.
He also shared that BIR no longer issues physical TIN cards. He said that digital TIN cards can be generated by filling up BIR S1905 available at the ORUS. Once generated, digital TIN cards are valid government-issued ID under the BIR.
In line with the government’s initiative on “Ease of Paying Taxes,”BIR-Bangued RDO also clarified that business owners are no longer required to pay annual registration fee of P500.
The BIR will now also require business owners to show documents at the BIR office to be able to purchase documentary stamps. (JJPM-PIA CAR, Abra)
