FORT DEL PILAR, Baguio City (PIA) – – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. called on the alumni of the Philippine Military Academy(PMA) for continuing partnership towards achieving a safer, more peaceful and more progressive Philippines.
In his keynote message during the 2023 PMA Alumni Homecoming here on Saturday(Feb. 18), the President expressed gratitude to the Academy and its alumni for being a strong pillar in defending the country’s sovereignty as a republic and in keeping a safe and progressive Philippines.

“Since its establishment in the 1930’s, the PMA has produced selfless individuals who have offered their lives to defend this country and preserve the democratic ideals and freedoms that we enjoy today. ”
“I am filled with gratitude as is the nation for your contributions to the collective effort to build our beloved Philippines,” he said.
The President enjoined the Cavaliers to continue to inspire the PMA cadets and the Filipino people to be leaders and partners in nation building as his administration continues to work hard for the country’s recovery from the COVID 19 pandemic and pursue a path of prosperity in a shared goal with the international community
“We have cemented our bilateral relations with our allies, with our partners, with our friends. And as we work on translating these investments into material benefits for our people, we must ensure that we continue to preserve the security and safety of our nation.”
“Rest assured that this government, together with the Filipino people, are with you as we march forward towards achieving a safer, more peaceful, more progressive Philippines”, he added.

The President also led the awarding of the PMA Alumni Association Inc. Lifetime Achievement and Cavalier Award, and Cavaliers Pandemic Heroes Award, and the ceremonial pinning of medals to Diamond (60 years), Golden and Silver jubilarians of the premier military academy of the Philippines.
The Alumni homecoming was the first event of Pres. Marcos at the PMA as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. (JDP/CCD-PIA CAR)
