The Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), and the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) signed a memorandum of agreement on Tuesday, November 12, for the production of the “Tara, Nood tayo!” infomercial to promote the Bagong Pilipinas campaign of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
The MOA was signed by PCO Acting Secretary Cesar B. Chavez, MTRCB Chairperson Diorella Maria G. Sotto-Antonio, PIA Director General Katherine Chloe S. de Castro, and OES Assistant Secretary Jose Marcell Canlas.
The “Tara, Nood tayo!” infomercial seeks to endorse and encourage Filipinos to watch locally produced movies and television shows.
The campaign “creates partnerships with various stakeholders in the media industry to raise public awareness of the Responsible Panonood Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas Campaign,” read the agreement.
The “Tara, Nood tayo!” infomercial also aims to empower “the public to become responsible and informed adults for their children towards discerning viewership to the end that the Filipino family can determine the film and television entertainment it sees.”
The infomercial will be shown in movie theaters before screening time and on television. It will also be uploaded to social media platforms, digital media, and traditional broadcast media.
