MANILA, (PIA) — The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) is inviting national agencies, local government units (LGUs), and other state entities to participate in its annual awards ceremony, “Parangal: Gawad ng Kahusayan sa Komunikasyong Pampubliko.”
This initiative aims to recognize and celebrate outstanding communications campaigns and projects that align with government mandates.
In a circular released by the PCO, officials emphasized the importance of showcasing best practices in government communication.
“This shall serve as a platform to showcase the best practices in government communication, encouraging agencies to adopt innovative strategies that resonate with citizens,” the PCO said.
The awards will feature several categories, including:
- Public Service Campaign Award
- Government Innovations Award
- Outstanding Digital Campaign Award
- Broadcast Excellence Award
- Outstanding Public Communicator Award
- Champion of Information Integrity Award
The PCO’s circular applies to all national government agencies, local government units, government-owned or -controlled corporations, and government financial institutions.
The awards will cover communications campaigns, media partnerships, community initiatives, innovative outreach programs, and exemplary government performance conducted within the current calendar year.
Entries must be submitted to the PCO via official announcements on its social media platforms by November 22, 2024.
This inaugural ceremony aims to inspire a culture of excellence and collaboration among government entities, ultimately enhancing public awareness and engagement with government programs and services. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
