PGCEA elected officers take oath of office

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite (PIA) – The first set of elected officers of the Provincial Government of Cavite Employees Association (PGCEA) for 2023 to 2025 formally took their Oath of Office on January 31 at the Ceremonial Hall, Provincial Capitol Building.

Provincial Administrator for Internal Affairs, Mr. Renato A. Abutan sworn in the PGCEA elected officers: Ms. Michelle S. Osorio – President, Mr. Joseph M. Avecilla – Vice President, Ms. Angelica Joy A. Balanquit – Secretary, Mr. Paul Mark M. Feranil – Assistant Secretary, Ms. Myrachel P. Cuadra – Treasurer, Ms. Karen Dela Cruz – Assistant Treasurer, Ms. Josefina M. Ayon – Auditor, and Mr. Walter M. Pereña and Ms. Genevieve B. Rogado – Public Relations Officers.

After officiating the oath-taking ceremony, PA Abutan thanked the interim officers for their efforts and dedication to pursuing the objective to form a reliable and credible employees association.

“I am immensely delighted as it was his dream to organize an employee association in the Provincial Government of Cavite,” Abutan said adding his pledge for his full support to the organization.

PGCEA Interim President, Ms. Maricel S. Bernal led the turnover activity to the new officers by handing over the ceremonial key to symbolize the opening of new roles and responsibility, the gavel that signify authority and order, and the constitutional by-laws that serve as the guide of the organization.

In her acceptance speech, President-elect Michelle S. Osorio expressed their gratitude for the trust and confidence delegated to them and asked for her fellow employees’ continued support and guidance.

“Simulan na natin itong challenge na ito, itong trabahong ito at kakayanin natin ito sa tulong ng ating mga co-member,” Ms. Osorio said.

In support of the PGCEA, PA Abutan generously donated seed fund for its operation as the new officers take on the challenge for the welfare of the PGC employees. (RBF/PIA-Cavite with reports from PGCEA)
