The rest of the beneficiaries from other municipalities will be provided seedlings in the coming weeks, with the distribution set to continue before the end of the year. The seedlings are expected to thrive in the province’s tropical climate, providing a promising new source of income for small-scale farmers.

Provincial Board Member and Committee Chairperson on Agriculture Reinario Bihag emphasized the importance of the program and highlighted the collective responsibility of farmers and the government in making the initiative a success.

Gihatag na sa probinsya og sa gobyerno ang tanan para nato. Ang responsibilidad na gipasa sa atoa kaning mga bunga, naa nana karon sa atong tagsa-tagsa ka mga kamot. Kini nga mga programa nga among gihatag kaninyo, ug inyo kining ampingan, naa’y posibilidad nga molambo ta sa atoang panginabuhi,” he said.

(The government has given everything for you. The responsibility now lies in your hands to nurture these opportunities. These programs we have provided to you, if you take care of them, hold the possibility of improving your livelihoods.)

One of the beneficiaries, Paquito Canillas from Lala town, expressed his gratitude.

Naghinaot ko nga kining mga programa ato ni siyang maatiman aron mahimo ning handomanan sa atong pagpang-uma aron sad ang naghatag niini makabati sad og kalipay nga ato ning gi-atiman,” he said.

(I hope that we can take care of these programs so that they become a legacy in our farming. This way, those who provided them will also feel joy knowing that we took care of them.)

The continued distribution of grafted calamansi seedlings is part of the provincial government’s broader strategy to increase agricultural productivity, improve the livelihoods of local farmers, and promote sustainable farming practices throughout the province.
