PH Army cooperative turns over new school building to remote Ifugao school

P𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙢𝙮 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 (𝙋𝘼𝙁𝘾𝙋𝙄𝘾) officials, and representatives from the Department of Education

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) — The Kalanguya National High School (KNHS) in Barangay Wangwang, Tinoc, is blessed with a newly constructed two-storey, four-classroom building from the Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC) through its “Adopt a School Program.”

The P16.6-million school building was formally turned over to KNHS during its inauguration on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 – led by PAFCPIC president (Ret.) Brigadier General Fernando S Zabat, Vice Governor Glenn Prudenciano for Gov. Jerry U Dalipog, Tinoc Mayor Samson C. Benito, Department of Education Cordillera Regional Director Estela L Cariño, Ifugao Schools Division Superintendent Gloria Buya-ao, and LTC Delfin Rean B. Ante of the 54th Infantry Battalion.

Department of Education (DepEd) officials thanked the PAFCPIC for a project that has a potentially transformative impact on Kalanguya NHS students.

DepEd-Ifugao said that the newly constructed building symbolizes PAFCPIC’s commitment to improve the access of quality education, empower the youth and foster academic excellence even in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

“This state-of-the-art facility provides the students with a conducive learning environment addressing the need for additional classrooms,” DepEd-Ifugao said.

During the inauguration, 240 PAFCPIC school bags were also distributed to learners and 50 gift packs of T-shirts, wall and tent calendars for teachers, guests and stakeholders.

The event was also attended by other local officials and the Parent-Teachers Association.
