QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has officially launched “Science Pinas,” the Philippines’ first science-travel show. This innovative program aims to educate Filipinos about the nation’s scientific advancements while promoting tourism and sustainability.
DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr. emphasized the show’s importance in fostering a deeper appreciation for science among Filipinos.
“Through Science Pinas, we are not just sharing stories about science, we are sparking curiosity, inspiring change, and empowering viewers to see science as a tool for a brighter tomorrow,” Solidum said.
“Science Pinas” combines breathtaking visuals with educational content, showcasing how science impacts communities across the country. Each episode will highlight various fields, including agriculture and marine conservation, making science relatable and engaging for viewers.

Notable centers include the Black Garlic R&D Center in Ilocos Norte, the Pili R&D Center in Albay, and facilities focused on crops like potatoes, pineapples, and tamarind, as well as bamboo and giant clam research.
