PhilHealth-10 Regional Vice President Delio Aseron II urged the senior citizens to register for the PhilHealth Konsulta program, where they can avail free laboratory tests and medicines.

“Huwag ng antayin na tayo’y magkasakit pa, andyan na ang Konsulta program para maiwasan o maagapan agad ang malulubhang sakit. Para masiguro ang kalusugan ng ating pamilya, tara nang magpa-Konsulta,” he said.
(Let us not wait to get sick; the Konsulta program is here to prevent or address serious illnesses. To ensure the health of our family, let’s get a consultation.)
During the event, the senior citizens experienced First Patient Encounter (FPE) under the Konsulta program. FPE is the initial episode of patient contact whereby a primary care provider tasks and/or updates the basic health data of an eligible beneficiary to identify their health risks.

During the culmination of the week-long celebration, the seniors enjoyed games and prizes.
Meanwhile, PhilHealth Public Affairs Office Head Merlyn Ybañez also gave updates on the new enhancements of PhilHealth benefits that senior citizens and all members can avail of.
The benefits include high-risk pneumonia at P90,100, ischemic stroke at P76,000, and hemorrhagic stroke at P80,000, as well as the new enhancement on the hemodialysis package at P6,350 per session per patient annually.
