NAVOTAS CITY, (PIA) – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is making significant strides in ensuring transparency and accountability in the examination, monitoring, and management of premium contributions from employers.

PhilHealth launched the “Billing and Collection Monitoring Utility” which will primarily be beneficial in overseeing the timely remittance and reporting of members’ contribution.

The launching coincided with the conduct of the 2nd “Promoting UHC through Linkages, Synergy, and Engagement” (PULSE) which is aimed at the promotion of PhilHealth’s new products, services, and innovations towards the advancement of Universal Health Care in the country.

PULSE also serves as an avenue to give recognition to the different stakeholders that contributed to the improvement of healthcare access for every Filipino.

The 2nd PULSE has awarded the large account employers with good standing records on their premium payments for five (5) to twenty (20) years.

PhilHealth Senior Vice President for Fund Management Sector Renato Limsiaco Jr. further encouraged employers to support the implementation of the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) by ensuring regular premium contributions.

The NHIP provides immediate protection to all Filipinos against the financial burden of availing healthcare services.

One of the direct outcomes of the NHIP includes the PhilHealth Konsulta comprehensive outpatient benefit package which facilitates the provision of affordable and accessible primary healthcare services.

The 1st PULSE was conducted on November 20, 2024, with the goal of championing the multisectoral collaborations that helped pave the way for the delivery of healthcare services to communities in the vulnerable sector.
