PhilHealth, LGU Quirino launch konsulta caravan

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA)- – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and the provincial government of Quirino (PGQ), recently launched the Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) Caravan at the Capitol Gymnasium here.

Konsulta is a comprehensive outpatient benefit mandated by the Universal Health Care Law which ensures that all Filipinos are guaranteed equitable access to quality and affordable healthcare goods and services, and protected against financial risks.

Provincial Health Officer Mila Jacinto Villar said the initiative aims to register PhilHealth direct-paying members, specifically the employees of Quirino and their beneficiaries to have access to different services, such as consultation, laboratory, health screening, and medicines from accredited providers.

In his message, PhilHealth 2 Regional Vice President  Llewelyn Binasoy said the event marks an important step in bringing PhilHealth services closer to everyone, especially to communities needing immediate support and information regarding the healthcare sector.

“Thank you for always choosing Philhealth to be your partner in providing health services in your province,” Binasoy added.

Meanwhile, Representative Midy Cua stressed the importance of health especially for the PGQ family, whom she regards as an extension of their family.

“We always prioritize PGQ employees in receiving benefits from various programs, as they are the ones who help deliver services to the people in the province,” the lady Solon said as she reiterated her full support for all PhilHealth initiatives.

On the other hand, Governor Dax Cua, expressed gratitude to PhilHealth and its President, Mandy Ledesma, for bringing the Konsulta Caravan to Quirino Province.

“You know, health is the number one of all my priority programs, a program that should be skimped on,” the governor said.

During the event, ceremonial awards for the Capitalization for C.Y 2023-2024 were presented to local healthcare facilities, including district hospitals, Municipal Health Offices, and Rural Health Units. (OTB/TCB/PIA-2, QUIRINO)
