PhilHealth warns public of illegal solicitations

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has issued a public advisory warning against illegal solicitations by unscrupulous individuals and entities claiming to represent the organization.

In a recent announcement by Dr. Bernadette C. Lico, Vice President of PhilHealth Regional Office NCR and Rizal, the agency highlighted recent reports of individuals soliciting financial assistance from bidders, suppliers, and contractors while misusing PhilHealth’s name.

Please be informed that PhilHealth is not in any way connected with such individuals or entities, nor has it authorized anyone to solicit financial assistance for any purpose,” Lico said.

PhilHealth emphasized its commitment to ethical standards as outlined in Republic Act No. 6713 and reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for actions that could compromise the integrity of the corporation.

The public is urged to report any incidents related to these schemes immediately.

Reports can be made via email at [email protected] or by contacting PhilHealth at (02) 879-7020.

PhilHealth reassured the public of its dedication to maintaining trust and transparency in its operations. (JMP/PIA-NCR)
