MANILA, (PIA) — The Philippine Army held a wreath-laying ceremony on Sunday, March 2, to honor the Hunters-ROTC Guerillas and World War II veterans who sacrificed their lives for freedom.

The event took place at the Hunters-ROTC Monument in Fort Bonifacio, formerly known as Fort McKinley.

The ceremony celebrated the heroism and achievements of the Hunters-ROTC Guerillas, who utilized unconventional warfare and guerilla tactics to overcome the superior firepower and numbers of World War II aggressors.

This activity is part of the Army’s 128th Founding Anniversary, themed “Matatag na Sandigan ng Bagong Pilipinas,” which underscores the importance of unity in defending the nation against any aggression.
