Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana met with Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Senik on June 10, 2022 at the margins of the 19th IISS Shangri-La Dialogue. The Deputy Minister was also joined by the Ambassador of Ukraine in Singapore, Her Excellency Kateryna Zelenko.

Secretary Lorenzana was joined by Commodore Ruben Fajardo Jr., Senior Military Assistant to the Secretary, and Ms. Rachel Bacordo, Chief, Strategic Assessments Division (SAD) of the Office for Strategic Assessments and International Affairs (OSAIA).

Secretary Lorenzana and Deputy Minister Senik discussed the situation in Ukraine and the challenges being faced by the Ukrainians in light of the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
