PHL Humanitarian Contingent reaches Turkiye

The Philippine Humanitarian Contingent to Turkiye arrived today at noontime (Philippine time)  in the capital Istanbul, according to Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Spokesperson Raffy Alejandro. The Contingent left Wednesday, around 11:59 pm, through the NAIA Terminal III. The photo, meanwhile, shows H.E. Niyazi Evren Akyol, Turkish Ambassador to the Philippines and his send-off party posing with the Contingent at the airport. The earthquake deathtoll in Turkiye, according to AFAD Bulletin No. 16, rose to to 8,574 and number of injured persons increase to 49,133. (Photograph Courtesy of OCD Spokesperson Alejandro).
