Philippine Information Agency Director-General Jose A. Torres Jr. and Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines Director-General Atty. Rowel S. Barba signed a Memorandum of Understanding today, June 21, at the PIA Central Office in Quezon City.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing public awareness and protection of intellectual property rights, aiming to foster innovation and creativity in the Philippines. It also underscores the commitment of both agencies to support and promote intellectual property as a key driver of economic growth and development.

PIA Deputy Director-General Elmer Jude F. Mesina, PIA Deputy Director-General Katherine Chloe S. De Castro, and IPOPHL Deputy Director-General Atty. Nathaniel S. Arevalo signed as the witness of the understanding.
