Director-General Katherine Chloe S. De Castro of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) on Monday, March 17, emphasized that achieving gender equality and women empowerment is a collective responsibility of both men and women.
After the flag-raising ceremony for the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration at the PIA Auditorium, DG De Castro said, “achieving gender equality and women empowerment is a collective responsibility of all –both women and men, requiring the efforts of all individuals, regardless of gender or background.”
She emphasized that “a truly progressive society ensures equal opportunities for women to lead, contribute, and succeed.”
Thus, in observance of the National Women’s Month, she encouraged all Filipinos to break the gender barriers in creating an environment where every woman can thrive with dignity.
