MALAYBALAY CITY (PIA) – Malaybalay City Police Station (CPS) earned the Best Performing Police Station title with a 98.94 percent for the April 2023 to March 2024 rating period.
Police Brig. Gen. Jaysen Carpio De Guzman, PNP regional office commander for Northern Mindanao, presented the award to Police Lt. Col. Virgilio D. Cruz, chief of Malaybalay City police, in a ceremony at Camp Ramon Onahon on October 8.
The Bukidnon Police Provincial Office hosted the ceremony, recognizing the station for operational achievements, crime prevention efforts, community involvement, and efficiency in maintaining peace and order.
The award cited the station’s commitment to public service and its dedication to the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) mission to ensure community safety.
The station consistently excels in crime reduction, responding swiftly to incidents and proactively engaging with the community.
De Guzman commended the station’s exemplary service, urging officers to continue leading law enforcement across Bukidnon. He emphasized that the award celebrates past achievements while setting a high standard for future performance.
“The Malaybalay City Police Station has set a benchmark for all police stations in the region. This recognition reflects your hard work and dedication to public safety. I urge you to maintain that same passion and commitment in your service,” he emphasized.
He said the recognition not only honors the Malaybalay CPS but also inspires all police units in Bukidnon to strive for excellence in public service, reinforcing the PNP’s vision of commitment to protecting the community.
