PNP, Comelec hold Solidary Pact signing for 2025 polls in CV

CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA)- The Police Regional Office (PRO) Region 7 together with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Region 7 held a solidarity pact signing on Feb. 11.

The signing was organized by the PRO-7 for the upcoming National and Local Elections (NLE) and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Parliamentary Election (BARMM PE).

Comelec7 Regional Director Atty. Francisco G. Pobe led the Solidarity Pact signing together with PRO-7 Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Redrico A. Maranan and representatives of government agencies involved in the conduct of the May 2025 elections.

“We look at (the signing) as a signal that everybody should be heard and manifest everyone’s social and moral obligation in actively participating as a shared responsibility of making this aspiration come true,” said Pobe.

During the activity, Maranan vowed to support all Comelec activities in the conduct of safe, accurate, and fair elections.

“We will commit our resources; when I say all resources, I mean human resources. The 11,000 personnel of the Philippine National Police here in Region 7 will be fully committed to ensuring the safe conduct of elections in 2025,” said Maranan.

He also committed PRO7’s logistical resources and more than 1,000 mobility assets, in addition to their communication equipment and financial resources as well.

Other agencies who joined in the solidarity pact signing include the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Air Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, Department of Health, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Department of Information and Communications Technology, and Philippine Information Agency.
