QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Philippine National Police (PNP) warns the public of a scam involving individuals posing as the Chief of the PNP.
In an advisory, PNP said that the scammers use text messages and phone calls to deceive victims, often requesting financial assistance or personal favors.
PNP emphasized that the Chief PNP will never ask for money or personal favors from anyone. The national police added that fraudsters exploit the public’s trust by using fake identities and scripted messages to make their claims appear legitimate.

To prevent falling victim to this scam, the PNP encourages the public to remain vigilant and verify any suspicious messages or calls before taking any action.
