PPA extends help to victims of widespread flooding in Baco

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) — The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) headed by General Manager Jay Daniel R. Santiago extended their help yesterday to the recent victims of widespread flooding in the town of Baco.

The local government received from PPA donations of 80 sacks of rice, 17 boxes of corned beef, eight boxes of sardines and six boxes of coffee.

According to Santiago, when he watched the news of the interview with Mayor Allan A. Roldan and saw the condition of the flooded barangays, they immediately agreed to extend help to the affected families by means of giving food aid to the concerned municipality.

Santiago added that if still needed, their office is ready to add help to the affected families.

Roldan, together with the members of the Sangguaniang Bayan welcomed and thanked PPA for the aid given.
